Description: Hand and machine knitted, the Orinoco kimono inherited its color palette from the work of contemporary Peruvian artist Federico Bauer, whose hand painted cows and murals are deeply influenced by popular art and tradition. With a hand-braided belt and crocheted details. Tassels applications are handmade.

About your piece: The ORINOCO kimono is made in collaboration with Knitting Hope, an initiative by Mision Huascaran to train and empower women from rural low income areas. Currently, 81 artisans, from teenagers to grandmothers, are part of the team behind some of ESCVDO’s signature pieces.
