Angela Damman calls it the Bruja Bag, but we call it a cultural institution. Made from the spun sansevieria fiber from a plant native to Mexico's Yucatán region, 17-18 artisans are involved in the making of this bag over a period of a months. Once the plant fiber is extracted, it goes through a laborious process of being crushed, dried, spun and weaved by with tools and techniques passed down through the generations. The Bruja bag, also available in cream, is truly a piece to be hung in a museum.
